Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 1, 2026

At CTRL the Chaos, privacy is an important part of what we do. Our services may involve access to personal email accounts, cloud storage, files, messages, and other information that can be sensitive or private. We are committed to collecting, accessing, using, and protecting personal information responsibly and only as necessary to provide our services.

This Privacy Policy explains how CTRL the Chaos (“CTRL the Chaos,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information when you visit ctrlthechaos.ca, contact us, complete an intake form, or purchase or receive one of our services.

Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

Contact information, such as your name and email address.

Inquiry and intake information, including the information you provide through our website contact form or service intake forms.

Service information, such as the type of organization assistance you are requesting, the approximate number of emails or files involved, your organization preferences, and other information you choose to provide.

Account access information, when required to complete a service. Depending on the service and access method used, this may include temporary or delegated access to an email account, Google Drive, or another digital account.

Content within accounts you authorize us to access. While completing Inbox Rescue, Drive Rescue, or Digital Reset, we may encounter emails, files, file names, sender information, subject lines, folders, documents, or other content contained within your account. We only access this information as reasonably necessary to perform the service you requested and according to the level of discretion or access you have authorized.

Payment and transaction information. Payments may be processed through third-party payment providers. We do not intentionally store full payment-card information ourselves.

Website information. Our website provider and related technologies may automatically collect information such as your browser type, device information, IP address, and website activity and may use cookies or similar technologies to operate the website and understand how it is used.

How We Use Your Information

We may use personal information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and communicate with you.

  • Determine which service is appropriate for your needs.

  • Provide Inbox Rescue, Drive Rescue, Digital Reset, or other services you request.

  • Organize, sort, label, archive, move, or otherwise manage digital information according to the agreed service.

  • Process payments and maintain necessary business records.

  • Provide customer support and follow-up.

  • Improve our services and client experience.

  • Meet legal, accounting, security, or regulatory requirements.

We do not sell or rent your personal information.

We do not use the private contents of your inbox, Drive, or other accounts for advertising or marketing purposes.

Access to Your Email, Drive, and Digital Accounts

Some CTRL the Chaos services require temporary access to a client’s digital account.

Access is used only for the purpose of completing the service you have authorized.

Where possible, we use secure account-sharing, delegated access, or permission-based methods rather than asking clients to send passwords through email or regular messaging.

You may revoke our access at any time. Once your project is complete, we will no longer intentionally access your account and will remove or relinquish access under our control as reasonably practicable.

Because digital organization can sometimes require judgment calls, we may create a review area or otherwise leave uncertain items for you rather than deleting or permanently removing information when appropriate.

Sensitive Information We May Encounter

Emails and cloud-storage accounts can contain highly sensitive information, including financial, employment, family, health, legal, or other private information.

We do not require clients to disclose this information to us unless it is necessary for the requested service. If we encounter sensitive information while carrying out authorized work, we treat it as confidential and access it only to the extent reasonably necessary to perform the service.

Where your selected service or intake preferences allow us to organize using limited information such as sender names, subject lines, file names, or folder information, we will follow those preferences.

Third-Party Services

We use third-party tools to operate our business and provide our services. These may include services such as:

  • Squarespace for our website;

  • Typeform for intake forms;

  • Google services where applicable;

  • secure password or access-sharing tools;

  • email providers; and

  • payment-processing providers.

These providers may process information according to their own privacy policies and may store or process data outside Canada.

We aim to use reputable service providers and limit the information shared with them to what is reasonably necessary.

How Long We Keep Information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide support, maintain appropriate business and transaction records, or comply with legal requirements.

Temporary account access is not intended to continue after the applicable service has been completed.

Information that is no longer reasonably required will be deleted, destroyed, anonymized, or securely disposed of when appropriate.

How We Protect Information

We take reasonable administrative and technical steps appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we handle. These may include secure account-sharing methods, access controls, password protection, and limiting access to client information to people who require it to provide the service.

No method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. However, we take privacy and security seriously and aim to minimize unnecessary access, storage, and disclosure.

Your Privacy Choices and Rights

You may contact us to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you;

  • Request access to personal information we hold about you;

  • Request correction of inaccurate information;

  • Ask questions about how your information has been used;

  • Withdraw consent where applicable;

  • Request deletion of information where appropriate; or

  • Raise a privacy concern or complaint.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services, technology, or legal obligations change. The current version will be posted on our website with the date of the latest update.
