Terms of Service

Last updated: September 1, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of the CTRL the Chaos website and to services provided by CTRL the Chaos.

By purchasing, booking, or authorizing us to begin a service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Our Services

CTRL the Chaos provides digital organization services, including:

Inbox Rescue — organization and cleanup of email accounts.

Drive Rescue — organization and cleanup of cloud-storage files and folders.

Digital Reset — broader digital organization services that may combine inbox and file organization.

The exact work included in your service will depend on the package selected, information provided through your intake form, and any additional scope agreed upon with CTRL the Chaos.

2. Client Authorization

By purchasing or proceeding with a service, you confirm that:

  • You own the account being organized or have authority to authorize us to access it.

  • You authorize CTRL the Chaos to access and organize the account only for the purposes of providing the requested service.

  • The information you provide to us is reasonably accurate.

  • You will provide any permissions or access reasonably required to complete the service.

You remain responsible for maintaining control of your accounts and may revoke our access at any time.

3. Privacy and Confidentiality

We understand that inboxes and digital files can contain private and sensitive information.

CTRL the Chaos will treat information encountered while providing services as confidential and will use it only as reasonably necessary to perform the service you have requested, except where disclosure is required by law.

Our handling of personal information is further described in our Privacy Policy.

4. Organization Decisions

Digital organization sometimes involves subjective judgment.

We will follow the preferences and instructions provided through your intake form and other communications. Where an item cannot reasonably be categorized or where action could create unnecessary risk, we may leave the item in place or move it to a designated review area for you.

Unless you have clearly authorized us to do so, we will take reasonable care to avoid permanently deleting information where its status is uncertain.

However, clients are responsible for reviewing organization preferences and any items identified for their review.

5. Backups and Important Information

Before service begins, we strongly recommend maintaining appropriate backups of any irreplaceable or particularly important information.

Although we take reasonable care when organizing digital accounts, no digital system is completely free from technical errors, synchronization issues, third-party platform problems, accidental deletion, or other unexpected events.

CTRL the Chaos is not a substitute for a professional data-backup or data-recovery service.

6. Service Scope and Package Limits

Packages may include limits based on the number of emails, files, accounts, or other items to be organized.

If the actual scope of your account exceeds the package purchased, we will not automatically charge you for additional work.

Instead, we may:

  • Complete the amount of work reasonably covered by the purchased package;

  • Ask you to choose which areas should receive priority; or

  • Offer an additional quote or service upgrade.

Any additional paid work will require your approval.

7. Timelines

Any completion dates or turnaround estimates provided by CTRL the Chaos are estimates unless specifically agreed otherwise.

Timing may be affected by the size or complexity of the project, client response times, account-access issues, third-party platform limitations, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

We will make reasonable efforts to keep you informed if a project is significantly delayed.

8. Payment

Prices are shown in Canadian dollars unless otherwise stated.

Payment requirements will be communicated before work begins.

Where a deposit or partial payment arrangement is offered, the remaining balance is due according to the payment schedule provided to you.

CTRL the Chaos will not perform additional work beyond an agreed service scope without obtaining approval for any additional charge.

9. Cancellations and Refunds

If you cancel a service before work has begun, amounts paid for services not yet performed may be refunded, subject to any non-refundable third-party transaction fees where legally permitted.

If you cancel after work has begun, CTRL the Chaos may retain or charge an amount reasonably corresponding to work already completed and any costs already incurred. Any remaining prepaid amount attributable to services not performed will be handled in accordance with applicable law.

If CTRL the Chaos is unable to provide a service that you have paid for, we will work with you to reschedule, provide an appropriate alternative, or issue an applicable refund.

Nothing in these Terms limits any cancellation, refund, or other consumer right that cannot legally be waived.

10. Third-Party Platforms

Our services may involve third-party platforms such as Google, email providers, cloud-storage providers, password-management tools, Typeform, Squarespace, or payment providers.

CTRL the Chaos does not control these third-party services and is not responsible for outages, account restrictions, platform changes, data loss, security incidents, or other issues caused by third-party systems outside our reasonable control.

You remain subject to the terms and policies of any third-party platforms you use.

11. No Guarantee of Specific Results

We aim to create a cleaner, easier-to-maintain digital system based on your needs and preferences.

However, we cannot guarantee that an organizational system will eliminate all digital clutter, prevent future clutter, improve productivity by a specific amount, or meet every personal preference.

Maintaining the system after completion remains the client’s responsibility.

12. Professional Advice

CTRL the Chaos provides organizational services only.

We do not provide legal, accounting, financial, medical, cybersecurity, data-recovery, or other regulated professional advice.

Organizing a document, email, or file does not mean that CTRL the Chaos has reviewed or evaluated its legal, financial, tax, medical, or other substantive importance.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, CTRL the Chaos will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from the use of our website or services.

Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our liability will be limited only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

14. Website Content and Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the CTRL the Chaos name, branding, website copy, graphics, service materials, maintenance guides, templates, and other original materials are owned by CTRL the Chaos.

Materials provided to you as part of your service may be used for your own personal or internal business purposes but may not be resold, republished, or distributed commercially without permission.

You retain ownership of your own emails, files, documents, and other client content.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time as our services or business practices change.

The current version will be posted on our website along with the date of the latest update.

Changes will not retroactively alter an existing paid service agreement where doing so would be unlawful or materially unfair.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without limiting any mandatory consumer rights that may apply.
